Collector's Edition: Innovative Packaging and Graphics, authored by Stuart Tolley and published by Thames & Hudson, celebrates the new wave of limited, deluxe, special edition graphic design created for the music, book and magazine industries. The beautifully printed 288 page hard back coffee-table book, with front cover typography printed in hologram foil, features 180 contemporary examples created by leading global practitioners, including projects by Sir Paul McCartney, Nick Cave, Warp Records, Radiohead, Vaughan Oliver, Chris Ofili, Beatriz Milhazes and Dinos Chapman. Every artefact was photographed exclusively for the book and are accompanied by extended captions that provide an insight into the creative process of artists, designers and musicians and the print production methods and materials used. These featured artworks are interspersed by original interviews with Irma Boom, Stanley Donwood, Stefan Sagmeister, The Vinyl Factory, Alec Soth, The Flaming Lips which are accompanied by original portrait photography by Ivan Jones, Daniel Shea and Emiliano Granado.
